It's been a little while since I've had a time to think about what is and has been going on for what seems a life time. The only conclusion I can come to is this has all been a predatory action against me, to either discriminate or disadvantage me.
After a recent set of letter from Barclays which confirmed they had lied and in a bizzare twist claimed they acted well inside the guidelines. It transpired that my account was firstly moved and then closed, after I explained what had happened to me. I was given assurances by Barclays that they would stand shoulder to shoulder with me.
The reality was far from that, it's was more like being pushed under a bus.....
Barclays and I had been in a form of protracted negotiations, they wanted our over draft reduced and I'd agree. Having pointed out as a business we're under capitalised and growth would be harder to achieve without either a facility from Barclays. Barclays however remained firm in their assertions that they wanted the overdraft gone. Over time I had paid this down to being a held facility of £2,000 a month . As a business we still turned over in the excess of 250-300K our VAT returns where in the region of £5,000 a quarter... and the wage roll etc. was 10K a month... Which suggests we operated in a healthy and efficient manner.
Until Barclays took their actions, which is you look more closely only raise more questions
their claims
I was not discrimintated against or DeBanked
they moved my account to collections
I was nearly £4,000 over drawn
My answers
Well if I wasn't discriminated against why has it taken all this time to come to light that my account details had been moved, it suggests the bank did this in full knowledge or the bank is very bad at client accounts and sensitive data handling. Which needs to be reviewed afterall they are subject to rules about this from the FCA
If my account was moved to collections, why have I never been contacted and how did they collect the nearly 4K of what they claim to be debts...? I sounds like this statement was an after thought, bearing in mind I had a facility of 2K a month and importantly £25,000 came into that account the day/ day after they closed my accounts... Which raises more questions
See point 2 and they failed to explain where my money is, for the last nearly 15 years.... and now they claim this "We had no choice but to move your account to collections!" "It's our policy!"
However there's no process or information about this in my file, which they still haven't sent as an electronic file the paper document is mostly unreadbale, has redacted sections and is thousands of pages.... which make no mention of any of this...
So who on the balance of probability is the liar here...?
