I had a longish call from someone that wanted to know more about the whole story, so after a very quick summary... They genuinely said "well it's simple just change your mortgage....!" and get rid of the troublesome people with whom you have all these issues...
Which sounds so simple, I really wish I'd have thought about it earlier....
Then I had to explain the rest of it, cos nothing is ever that simple... bearing in mind we've tried to do that, for the last nearly 13 years and #Barclays said that while we're in the dispute for all the money. we couldn't put the house on the market... which like everything coming from the was a #lie.... but when we finally worked this out, we got flooded and now we can't sell the house cos everytime it rains our house gets a new feature of an indoor pool... Plus while we tried to get answers and tried to talk to #Barclays they don't want to engage with any aspect of the dispute... so it's hard to make headway into the issues.... When I'm the only person with the sensible questions, with offers to settle and more importantly with complete overview of all the problems....
We've had people try to remote control mediate and that's not worked cos just looking at the issues you need to have an actually pair of boots on the ground.........
I really like the idea of just stepping away from it all... and shouting "fuck the lot of you..!"
but I can't because if nobody wants to negotiate as was recommended by the ombudsman back in 2012... I'm just shouting into the wind.... and While #barclays seems to show no sign of their end game.... it's pointless... so we move very slowing forward in time.... while making no progress.... #ItsHappeningHere #LifeAtBarclays #ConsumerIssues #FinancialOmbudsman #Flooding #InsuranceClaims
Best of all our neighbours claimed I was tresspassing while putting down the sandbags and they want me to remove them, which would flood our home ... I've asked them to stop the water from getting into our home, to fit drains or redirect the water and their answer was "it's not our water....!" which raises another question... "what is it then...?" you know that wet stuff on the right side of the picture below...? #IsItOk to be treated like this..? Just asking.... like..?
